Meet Terrence
Hi there, I'm Terrence Lans, a recent college graduate from Towson University (May 2023). My major was Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. I have a diverse set of marketing skills, but my interests lie in social media, data analytics, and web design.
In 2022, I participated in an externship program with Beats by Dre through Extern. During my time there, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of consumer sentiment towards the Beats by Dr. Dre brand, with a particular focus on how Gen Z audiences perceive the company's marketing campaigns and branding. To gather insights, I utilized various data collection methods such as surveys and interviews. Additionally, I gained experience in organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data using tools like Excel, Tableau, and SQL.
From January to June 2023, I had the opportunity to work on the Partners Against Mortality in Epilepsy (PAME) Facebook page as part of my internship with Blueprint Interactive. During this time, I managed the page and created a social media calendar to plan out each post. Also, I included articles and testimonial videos related to epilepsy in each post. I analyzed metrics such as impressions, reach, and post-engagement to provide suggestions for improvement.
In the latter part of 2023, I served as a website assistant during my internship at the Consumer Technology Association. My responsibilities included managing the websites of both their main site CTA.tech and their tech event site CES.tech. I regularly updated the text, images, and videos on both websites. Additionally, I gained experience in creating pages from scratch and designing their layout, which taught me the essential elements of website creation and how to make it stand out.

As a Web Content intern, my daily tasks included checking Asana requests to ensure the website was up-to-date. Some of the requests involved creating new landing pages for both existing and new content. Additionally, I uploaded new episodes of the CES Tech Talk podcast bi-weekly to all streaming platforms and their podcast page.

As a Digital Ads Intern, I had the opportunity to work on a campaign for the Partners Against Mortality in Epilepsy (PAME). As part of my responsibilities, I created unique content for PAME's Facebook page, which included testimonials from researchers and family members, videos and articles related to epilepsy, content from PAME's partners, and information about events hosted by PAME and their partners.

As a Media Buyer, I supported the procurement of advertising spots for clients in the Wisconsin market. My responsibilities included negotiating the most favorable rates and placements for their ads. Additionally, I monitored and evaluated the performance of these ads.
